Visa to Azerbaijan

Visitors from the Russian Federation and other CIS countries do not require a visa to enter Azerbaijan however you do require a foreign passport.

Citizens of the USA, Canada, EEC countries, Turkey and Iran can obtain a visa on arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Baku. Visa prices vary according to nationality and cost from 40 USD for Turkish and Iranian citizens to in excess of $130 for other nationalities. A valid passport and 2 passport size photographs are also required.

Citizens of countries not mentioned above should contact their nearest Embassy of Azerbaijan Republic to obtain specific visa information. Contact information for Azerbaijan Embassies around the world can be found at http://www.mfa.gov.az/. You will be required to submit a foreign passport, details of travel insurance, a letter of invitation and 2 passport size photographs. Visas will be issued within 5-7 working days.

OTI can provide you with a letter of invitation if required. Some nationalities may require a letter of invitation approved by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Republic and OTI can also assist you with obtaining this if necessary.

Accommodation, transportation and meals

We can assist you with arranging accommodation. The fee for accommodation is 125 USD per night (including breakfast and airport pick-up).

OTI provides transportation to and from the OTI training centre. If you require any other assistance with transportation this can be provided at a small additional cost.

Lunch and coffee/tea are included in the cost of your training and are provided on site.

Medical Certification

Some courses involve sustained physical activity which may be carried out under adverse conditions hence it is a condition of attending any courses that contain a practical element that delegates are medically fit to undertake the course. A valid medical certificate is required for any training that involves practical exercises.

If you do not already possess a medical certificate you can undergo a medical check-up conducted according to Oil & Gas UK guidelines in Baku 1 day prior to the start date of your course. The medical check-up fee is approximately 165 USD. An appointment date and time should be set up in advance. Further information and contact details can be found at www.mediclub.az
