Occupational Training International is an international company, based in the Sultanate of Oman with a branch in Azerbaijan. The company is internationally recognised and has been successfully delivering HSE training and Offshore Survival courses since 1996 to companies within the oil and gas industry including BP, BTC Pipeline Company, Shell, McDermott, Maersk, KCA Deutag, Schlumberger, Statoil, Baker Hughes, Halliburton and many others. Occupational Training International is a key training provider to the Oil and Gas Industry in the Middle East, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Russian Federation and Iran. 

Our Baku training centre is a leading provider of HSE programmes for BP and its Contractors and OTI (Baku) has been accredited and approved to teach Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET), Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET) and HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) to the standards set by The Oil & Gas Academy (OPITO) since 2000.  

OTI are also able to offer the following OPITO approved courses:

           Offshore Emergency Response Team Member

           Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader

           Offshore Emergency Helideck Team Member

           Authorised Gas Testing Level 1

Students who successfully complete OPITO approved courses are registered into the international OPITO database.  OTI is a member of the National Safety Council of the USA, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the International Association for Safety and Survival Training (IASST). 

OTI are committed to a high level of customisation for Company specific courses to match client requirements as closely as possible and training programmes can also be conducted on client premises to suit their own individual needs.  

OTI operational and management teams are dedicated to assisting clients to meet company or government nationalisation programmes through relevant and innovative training schedules.Training is regularly delivered in Azerbaijani, Russian and English either by simultaneous translation or by splitting classes into different language groups. Training can be delivered in other languages for example Kazakh, Turkish, Georgian, Arabic and many others if required. 

All courses are conducted and taught using suitably qualified instructors, approved equipment and training materials. It is a policy of OTI to actively identify, recruit and train, suitable local staff in order to develop them to senior instructor level. This policy has been successful in the past in Azerbaijan and Oman and will be continued at OTI’s other overseas locations.
