Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET)

    Intended for: All personnel travelling and working on offshore installations.

    Aims: To ensure that new entrants to the industry and employees with offshore experience who are new to an installation can demonstrate competence in:

    • Carrying out their individual responsibilities for HSE

Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
  • Price: $300 (Cost excluding VAT/WHT)

    Certification Validity: 4 years

    Duration: 1 day

    Intended for: All personnel traveling over water by Helicopter

    Aims: To provide both theoretical and practical training in helicopter safety and escape procedures including the operation and use of emergency breathing systems

    Objectives: upon completion of the course students should be able to:

    • Don a survival suit, aviation lifejacket and emergency breathing system (EBS) equipment
    • Understand the operating principles of emergency breathing systems (EBS) using compressed air
    • Verify the integrity of the EBS system equipment
    • Carry out re-breathing actions using EBS equipment under both dry and in-water conditions
    • Deploy EBS equipment and carry out a dry evacuation from a helicopter ditched on water, to a heliraft.
    • Assist others where possible and carry out vital and secondary actions
    • Escape through an escape exit which is under water from a partially submerged helicopter (without deploying and operating EBS equipment)
    • Escape through an escape exit which is under water from a capsized helicopter, deploying EBS equipment on surface prior to capsize.
    • Inflate a life jacket
    • Carry out "in-water" procedures including individual and group survival techniques
    • Be rescued by one of the recognised methods available offshore

Basic Sea Survival

    Certification Validity: 2 years

    Duration: 1 Day

    Intended for: All personnel employed in an a marine environment who are not required to undergo full offshore survival training (BOSIET)

    Aims: To ensure that personnel who work aboard marine vessels and craft are familiar with the actions to be taken and procedures to be followed during an emergency situation.

    Objectives: upon completion of the course students should be able to demonstrate:

    • Demonstrate an understanding of the procedures to be followed in the event of an emergency
    • Demonstrate the correct methods of use of basic survival equipment such as survival suits, life jackets, life rafts and lifeboats
    • Understand the correct procedures to be followed during vessel abandonment
    • Demonstrate understanding of the correct methods for boarding lifeboats and life rafts
    • Demonstrate the correct methods for using a scramble (cargo) net
    • Demonstrate the correct method of donning a heliotrope and adopting the correct posture for winching.

Offshore Total S-cape
  • Price: $100 (Cost excluding VAT/WHT)

    Certification Validity: 12 Month

    Duration: Half a Day

    Intended for: Use during an Emergency on board of offshore installations when all conventional means of escape have been exhausted and should be used as a very last resort

    Aims: To provide delegates with practical guidance on the safe use of S-cape system

    Objectives: On completion of training delegates will be certificated to use S-Cape system in accordance with the Manufacturer's instructions and recommendations, and fulfil one of the prequalification required for visiting / working on a platform where the Offshore S-Cape system is present
